2013 Carolinas Regional Convention, DAY 1

Tonight, 2013 Alpha Zeta Sigma President Mariia Kolb, 2012 officer Michelle Williamson, and I had the privilege of attending the 2013 Carolinas Regional Convention. Alpha Epsilon Omicron from Trident Technical College and Beta Epsilon Chi from James Sprunt Community College did a great job organizing this event for Phi Theta Kappa chapters in the Carolinas. Mariia shared the honor of distributing awards to 2012 Phi Theta Kappa officers for their excellent service to their colleges and communities. We all enjoyed watching the speech, "Today & Tomorrow Enterprises," delivered by the animated and amiable keynote speaker Patrick Grady. Mr. Grady later held a purely entertaining event, "Leadership Can Be Hypno...larious," on hypnosis and its benefits where he hypnotized willing participants who were promted to entertain the audience by making silly faces, dancing ballet, and giving birth. It was a fun way to unwind and bond with other Kappans from across the region.
